Located next to King George Station in Surrey, British Columbia, the King George Hub is a mixed-use development part of bigger plans to transform the city’s downtown core. The Coast Capital Savings Headquarters is Phase A of the hub, while Phases B through D are currently in development.

Designed by MCM, the Coast Capital Savings building features a unique exterior of glass and colored panels that transition from green to blue. Coast Capital’s progressive corporate culture and commitment to a collaborative workspace inspired the building's dynamic shape.

Pro-Bel Technical Solution

We designed a conventional davit and anchor system to service most of the building. A monorail system services part of the western façade to provide access to the sloping façade created by the asymmetrical geometric design of the building. Due to the building's unique shape, there were still some lower areas of the façade that were inaccessible for suspended access; therefore, we worked with our client to determine that the best option in this particular case would be to service these areas from the ground using a boom lift (provided by others).
