Station Square is a 5 tower residential development located right by Kingsway in Metrotown, Burnaby, with the final 2 towers currently under construction. Towers 2 and 3 (Phase II) are a testament to the intelligent design and convenience the development is characterized by. One of the defining features of Phase II is the rooftop garden on the podium connecting both towers, combining to be almost an acre of green space. The buildings also feature protruding columns of uniform balconies and smaller overhangs on parts of the façade. You can watch a time-lapse video by Beedie of the towers going up here.

Pro-Bel Technical Solution

Much like the Amber Condos in Mississauga, Ontario, we designed a davit system for both towers accompanied by a safety roof anchor system for independent tie-off of lifelinesThe system consists of cast-in-place recessed anchors (below built up terrace roof deck) d and soffit anchors beneath overhangs and horizontal lifeline (cable) systems are placed in fall hazard areas (restrictive areas) on the podium and main roofs to provide fall protection to workers allowing for safe access to the roof edge. To ensure safe vertical travel, bolt to mullion intermittent stabilization anchors (ISA’s / Stabilization buttons) are also installed on all elevations of the towers.
