Account Manager, Digital Media & Marketing Communications
Location: Toronto, ON (Hybrid)
Reports To: Vice President US Sales
Position Overview
We’re looking for a proactive Account Manager with a strong foundation in SEO, SEM (Google Ads), and social media advertising. In this role, you will partner with internal teams and external stakeholders to develop, execute, and optimize integrated digital campaigns—driving brand awareness and high-quality lead generation. You’ll also tackle broader marketing communications challenges, leveraging research insights to craft strategic, compliant, and high-impact solutions from concept through evaluation.
Key Responsibilities
Digital Media & Campaign Management
- Plan, buy and optimize paid search campaigns (Google Ads) for lead generation and brand awareness
- Develop and execute paid social strategies on Facebook and LinkedIn
- Implement SEO best practices to improve organic visibility and rankings
- Assist in content creation (ad copy, landing pages, blog posts) as needed
Strategic Planning & Research
- Conduct market and audience research to inform targeting, messaging, and channel selection
- Develop integrated advertising and marketing communications plans grounded in evidence and aligned with business objectives
- Present and defend strategic recommendations to senior leadership and clients
Account & Project Management
- Serve as the primary day-to-day point of contact for campaign stakeholders
- Manage cross-functional deliverables, timelines, and budgets from kickoff through launch
- Coordinate with creative, analytics, and development teams to ensure seamless execution
Performance Measurement & Optimization
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) across paid and organic channels
- Evaluate campaign effectiveness, producing clear reports and actionable insights
- Continuously test and refine tactics to maximize ROI
Compliance & Professional Standards
- Ensure all advertising and communications adhere to Canadian legislation and international best practices
- Stay current on industry standards, platform policies, and emerging trends
- Complete all work in a professional, ethical, and timely manner
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field
- 2–4 years of hands-on experience in SEM (Google Ads), SEO, and social media advertising
- Proven ability to develop integrated marketing communications plans backed by research
- Strong analytical skills; comfortable with campaign tracking tools and data analysis
- Excellent presentation and client-facing communication skills
- Detail-oriented, with exceptional time management and organizational abilities
- Knowledge of Canadian advertising regulations and digital best practices
